We do not decide overnight to get married. You have to go through certain stages to get to marriage: this is a love relationship. The different stages can be grouped into four. What does each one consist of?
The romantic and passion phase
This is the beginning of the relationship. The two partners are one, the romance is at its highest level. The bonds between the two lovers are born and consolidated. The physical attraction is strong, and the separations are very difficult to bear. This is the stage where all the dreams are born, you only see the qualities of your lover. It is an ephemeral phase that often has nothing real compared to life as a couple.
Disillusionment and doubt
Everything is not always rosy. At some point in the relationship, each partner begins to see the limits, imperfections and flaws of the other. Doubt settles in the couple. Indeed, the bar had already been set so high by both partners that it is impossible for one to understand that the other can no longer give him or her as much attention as in the beginning. This phase occurs after about three years of the relationship. This stage can lead to a breakup. To overcome disillusionment, everyone needs to understand that love life has its ups and downs.
Stability and commitment
A couple that successfully overcomes disillusionment and doubt is now ready to accept each other's faults and qualities. Both partners move from idealism to realism. Now comes the time to plan the future together (cohabitation, marriage, etc). The couple is no longer questioned at the slightest problem as it is the case in the previous phase. The couple even in the commitment phase is by no means a given. It is necessary to find the best way to advise the passion and the reason to always make the couple live.
